Spyder founder and President David Jacobs was Canadian
National Downhill Champion and former coach of the Canadian National
team. He began designing and producing skiwear by hand in his Boulder
kitchen in the late 1970's. He was also active in the design and
manufacturing of the first Lange competition ski boot. His first
clothes were designed for his own children, and have evolved into
what is now Spyder Active Sports, Inc.
CHB's interest in Spyder was sold in 2004.
